Details of our CQC Inspection Status
(from CQC external website)
Crossways' Care HomeNumber 8 is set in a quiet area of Tunbridge with a short walk to the town centre. Originally built in the 1900s it has been modernised and now has had several major refurbishments over the years
so that we now have 16 single bedrooms each with their own either ensuite shower/toilet rooms or bathrooms. We have also created areas where people can socialise downstairs, in either small or larger groups. We have 24-hour staffing (2 sleep-in staff overnight), we provide ongoing support so as to enable people to move towards greater independence. Depending on what abilities someone may have, we will either provide dose-by-dose monitoring of medication up to weekly self-medicating We have dedicated part-time Life Skills Trainers whose goal is helping people to develop basic skills (cooking, budgeting, help with voluntary or paid work). Although we provide all meals, there is an emphasis of getting people to cook some of their own meals (with staff support) and a daily or weekly food allowance can be provided for people to buy and cook their own food.
With two large gardens front and back, there is plenty of space to enjoy in a peaceful environment.
